Parents and Carers
Parents & Carers
We recognise the ongoing challenge with juggling parental and other caring responsibilities whilst trying to maintain a career and are committed to creating a work environment where employees have the flexibility and support to ease some of that pressure.
Key Inclusion Initiatives:
Inclusive parental leave
We offer a competitive 22-week paid parental leave benefit with flexibility on when and how the leave can be taken over a two-year period post birth or adoption.
We understand the importance that shared caring responsibilities can make to driving gender equality and economic empowerment for women, and positive impacts to wellbeing and family relationships. For this reason, we do not require employees to be a primary carer to access our paid parental leave, enabling families to better manage and share caring responsibilities, and their career.
Flex for Family
Research consistently indicates that those with greater flexibility are the happiest, and as an organisation we aim to foster this where possible. As a result, our hashtag#FlexToThrive framework was created. capturing all the initiatives our people can access across seven pillars: Flex for Place, Time, Wellbeing, Good, Family, to Learn and Me.
Hear from one of our Account Managers, Stephen Jeffreys, on how our #FlexForFamily initiative helps him balance both his professional goals, and what matters most at home.
Parents@Work Employee Community
We recognise that for working parents, it is important to have a community where you are able to bring your whole self to work. Like the saying goes, ‘it takes a community to raise a child’, so we have established a Workplace community group as a place where working parents can connect, learn from and support each other. It is an open forum for employees to share resources, tools, strategies, advice, motivation, stories, homework help, recipes, family schedules and MORE!
